BUSYBRICKS PARTIES & EVENTS
Parties
Please be in touch if you think your little one would love a Busybricks Party with a theme of their choice. For aged 4 and under parties are ran like a class whereby familiar adults get involved. For ages 5 and over, it is up to the adults.
I suggest 1 theme for 15 children and 2 themes for more than 15.
It is £50 for an hour long party (if it’s not local to Enfield then I charge a travel fee) plus £10 per child for 15 children then £5 for any additional children after that (under 1s free).
Events
Events can be personalised to cater for your needs. Typically I can bring enough Duplo for approximately 30 children and lay it out for a free flow style play session. I am there to greet and guide the children and families and move around the space with inspirational ideas.
The prices start from £150 per hour based on 15 children. Additional charges for travel time may be added.
How it Started...
My Son Zack is 13 now and has always been a huge Lego fan. It all started from taking him to visit my dad when he was a young toddler and they’d go to the garage together and get out an old suitcase full of Duplo. The Duplo collection from when I was little. It was a huge part of play during my childhood, my dad would spend hours on creations and imaginative play with my sisters and I. He went on to spark the love for Lego in Zack too. Toddler groups at the time were all focused on movement and music which my son just wasn’t keen on. All the Lego clubs were for older children, until I finally managed to persuade a few to take him on aged 4/5, and he loved them.
His love for Lego was extreme… it was inspiring. His collection grew and grew. Once my second child started school, I was reluctant to go back into teaching full time, I came up with the idea of a Lego toddler group … Zack named it Busybricks and designed my logo which includes him and my daughter Talia and friends.
It started in my front room in September 2019 with small groups of up to 5 children and parents at a time. The word spread quickly and my classes filled up! The regulars were so supportive, many of which now come along with their siblings. I also provided one to one sessions for children who needed a quieter and personalised playtime.
Of course the dreaded Covid hit! And I paused! Then the Busybricks playroom became a homeschool, now a home office! This forced Busybricks to become mobile. Now I’m running many weekly classes, birthday parties and events at various locations. It’s awesome! It’s not just a job… it’s a passion!
